IELTS Australia offers support for organisations that recognise the IELTS test, such as governments, universities, professional bodies and commercial organisations. Contact us for more information on IELTS scores, verifying IELTS results and IELTS test availability. Other services include:

• Listing on the IELTS Global Recognition System

  The IELTS Global Recognition System lists the organisations accepting IELTS and the minimum scores required by each organisation. Once listed on the IELTS Global Recognition System, recognising organisations will gain exposure to millions of potential candidates worldwide, and a link from www.ielts.org to their website.
  
  IELTS is used in fields as diverse as medicine, dentistry, veterinary, air traffic control, the civil service and engineering.
  
  It should be noted that recognising organisations set their own IELTS requirements according to the specific language needs of the course, study or work program.

• Emergency test places

  IELTS Australia understands that at certain times, due to visas expiring, candidates will seek a test at short notice. IELTS Australia is available to work with recognising organisations to help their potential employees secure a test place.

• In-house testing for employers

  In addition to emergency places, in-house testing is available for employers who require a number of candidates to sit the test at the same time. Where the venue conditions are in keeping with IELTS standard procedures, this testing can take place at the employer’s worksite, including in remote locations.

• IELTS Scores Explained

  IELTS Australia is available to provide organisations that are considering or already receive IELTS results with detailed information on the test.This ensures a thorough understanding the test by those individuals who are responsible for setting band scores and/or use the test as a measure of English language proficiency in their work.
  
  Information sessions are typically delivered face-to-face and cover the IELTS partnership structure, global presence, test format, band scores, the test production process, examiner training, our online verification service for checking test results and other key security measures. Much of this information is also available in the DVD "IELTS Scores Explained" which can be ordered using this form (XLS, 1.6MB).

• Research

  All IELTS-related research activities are coordinated under a framework for ongoing test development and validation. IELTS Australia funds and supports a program of independent research.
  
  IELTS Australia invites educational institutions and suitably qualified individuals to apply for funding to undertake applied research projects in relation to IELTS. Financial support for individual projects selected is available to a maximum of A$36,000. This upper limit may be reviewed in exceptional circumstances.
